Short Routes

Itinerary 3 days/ 2 nights: Oviedo – Bilbao

1st Day: Oviedo - Picos de Europa - Llanes

We will welcome you on board the train at Oviedo station at 10:00 a.m. to begin our journey of three wonderful days on the Costa Verde Express.

Upon arrival, the crew will greet us with a welcome drink and we will settle into our luxurious and comfortable suite. Afterwards, we will set out with our guide for a visit to Oviedo’s Historic Quarter.

While enjoying an excellent meal on board the train, we will arrive in Arriondas, from where we will depart by coach to the Picos de Europa, visiting the Lakes of Covadonga, the Sanctuary, and Cangas de Onís, the first Spanish capital after the Reconquest.

We will return to the train for our first dinner on board. The train will remain stationed overnight in Llanes to ensure a comfortable rest.

2nd Day: Llanes - Santillana- Santander

We will begin the day with a comforting breakfast on board as the train takes us to Cabezón de la Sal, from where we will set out to visit the Altamira Neocave, the finest example of Upper Paleolithic cave art.

We will then continue with a visit to the medieval town of Santillana del Mar, with its magnificently preserved historic quarter. After lunch, we will head by train to the city of Santander. There, we will enjoy a tour of Cantabria’s elegant capital, followed by free time to stroll around the city at leisure.

After dinner, we will return to the train to spend the night in Santander and regain energy for the following day.

3rd Day Día: Santander - Bilbao

During breakfast, the Costa Verde Express will set course for Bilbao.

After bidding farewell to the crew and the train, we will begin our visit to the city, exploring its wonderful corners, including admission to the famous Guggenheim Museum.

After the visit, we will conclude our journey through Northern Spain at around 2:00 p.m. at La Concordia station.

Itinerary 3 days/ 2 nights: Santiago de Compostela – Oviedo

1st Day: Santiago de Comspostela - Ferrol -Viveiro

The journey begins in Santiago de Compostela, where we will gather at 12:00 p.m.

After a warm welcome, we will delve into the historic center of Santiago de Compostela, a legendary place that, for more than a thousand years, has marked the end of the Jacobean routes.

Following lunch, a luxury coach will take us to Ferrol, the starting point of our rail adventure. There, the Costa Verde Express awaits us, where the crew will greet us with an elegant welcome toast.

As the train sets off towards Viveiro, we will enjoy the comfort on board. Upon arrival, we will discover this charming seaside town before enjoying dinner and spending the night on the train, stationed in Viveiro.

2nd Day: Viveiro – Ribadeo – Luarca – Oviedo

The morning begins with an exquisite buffet breakfast as the train takes us to Ribadeo, a Galician town located on the border with Asturias. From there, we will travel by coach along the spectacular Lugo coastline until reaching the famous Beach of the Cathedrals, considered one of the most impressive in the world.

After the visit and lunch, we will continue our railway journey into Asturian lands. Our next stop will be Luarca, known as the White Town of the Green Coast, where we will enjoy a guided tour. Finally, we will return to the train and head towards Oviedo, where we will spend the night.

3rd Day: Oviedo

After breakfast, we will spend the morning exploring Oviedo, the capital of the Principality of Asturias and a city full of history, art, and tradition.

At the end of the visit, we will return to the train to collect our luggage and conclude this unforgettable experience at around 2:00 p.m.
